‘Pitch Pipes’ EP = RELEASED

Just last night, The Study hosted the ‘Pitch Pipes’ a cappella EP release party. With over 150 in attendance, it was an amazing night of bluegrass, barbershop, and harmony! Thanks to everyone for coming out, and I hope you enjoy your free copy of the EP!

For everyone else, the EP will be available online later this week.

Also, I’ve just announced my tour dates on facebook, so check out the tour dates there, and on my own page here.

Big news!

If you’ve been following my facebook/twitter/etc accounts, you’ll know that I’ve been talking about announcing some big news for a while.

Well, I can finally announce it! But, since so much time has passed, there are now 4 things to announce:

1. ‘Pitch Pipes’ EP Release Party at The Study on February 11th, it’s coming up fast.
Facebook event link here.

2. Teaser video for the ‘Pitch Pipes’ EP is now up, watch the creative process of the album artwork!

3. Canadian Music Fest in Toronto (Moose FM showcase) confirmed at Mitzi’s Sister on March 10th, midnight!
All wristbands will be accepted, but there’s more info on their website.

And last but not least…

4. Opening for the Goo Goo Dolls at the Thunder Bay Community Auditorium on February 22nd. Amazing!

Tour dates and more will be coming soon.

“Pitch Pipes” A Cappella EP release party!

Finally the A Cappella EP known as “Pitch Pipes” will be ready to launch on February 11th!

It’s going to be a helluva party, with the Greenbank Trio opening the show, followed by The Greasy Creases. Both acts have a bluegrass-y sound, which works well with this show, as the theme is vocals and harmony (and the Creases have 8 members!).

But on top of that, right before I hit the stage, there will be a very special performance from some old friends of mine, The Noteables. They’re a barbershop quartet from the Gentlemen of Harmony, who I used to sing with a few years ago, and that definitely encouraged a love of 4-part harmony.

Here are some of the details:

Welcome Home Show & EP Fundraiser

Since I first started touring with “Windows and Doors” in September, 2009, I’ve crossed Canada 3 times, and done an extra Ontario tour.  I think it’s time for a short break!

Friday, December 3rd, will be my welcome home show, combined with a fundraiser to release my new EP (it features one-man-band a capella versions of some of my songs) in the new year.  More on that in another blog!

This show will also have Concepts (dance), City Sirens (rock/pop from Hamilton) and Nick Sherman (folk).
