The Walleye

Four kinds of ‘best’

2014 is certainly starting off on the right foot!

Walleye - January 2014

Check out the January issue of The Walleye, which featured the results of their annual readers’ survey. What did you think? Apparently you thought very highly of me:

Best Album – Complexity in Simplicity
Best Musician
Best Singer
& Best Solo Artist

I wasn’t even a runner up! #1 across the board. It’s very wonderful to be recognized by my home community, even several weeks after the news! A big hand to all of those who were also recognized, but also those who fly beneath the radar but still do some truly amazing stuff. You can read the issue online which features an article with me as well.

On a personal level, there are some exciting things happening as well! Also on the cover of the Walleye is my recently announced fiancee Shannon Lepere (who was crowned both the Best Photographer and Best Wedding Photographer in Thunder Bay). Match that with our first house on the horizon and we’ve got a busy spring ahead of us!

Welcome to the Machine

Brief update from the road – I’m touring all over the US at the moment, playing some neat intimate shows, festivals, and much more! If you haven’t caught me on this leg of the tour, there’s more coming up, just check out the Tour page. But in the meantime, please check out this cover of Pink Floyd’s “Welcome to the Machine” that I did at The Study this past September. Thanks to The Walleye for capturing it on video!
